Bookings Open for the new Kia Seltos facelift; Prices to be revealed soon!

Kia India has officially started the pre-launch bookings of their recently updated SUV, the Seltos facelift. The carmaker unveiled the Seltos facelift model on the 4th of July 2023. While the prices of the Seltos facelift are expected to be revealed in the coming weeks.

Booking Details of the New Kia Seltos Facelift

Kia India has officially started the bookings of their upcoming compact SUV, the Seltos facelift. The customers can book the desired variant of their new Seltos with a token amount of Rs. 25,000. This vehicle can be booked either at the dealership or on an online platform. Moreover, the carmaker has also introduced the K-Code concept for those who want priority delivery of their new Seltos. About the new Kia Seltos facelift

Kia has recently unveiled the updated version of their compact SUV, the Seltos facelift. The carmaker has made several tweaks to the design and added more features in the new Seltos facelift. It gets a redesigned front profile with a tiger-nose grille, new DRLs, headlights, a new bumper with skid plates, and new ice-cube fog lights. Moreover, the Kia is offering new alloy wheels, new connected LED taillights with a light bar, and new bumpers with thicker skid plates.

The carmaker has also tweaked the interior layout and theme in the new Seltos facelift. The new layout consists of the twin-screen set-up, each of size 10.25-inch. The carmaker has added some new features to the Seltos facelift which are mentioned below:

Powertrain Options

The new Kia Seltos facelift is available with 3 engines and 5 different transmission options. The main highlight of the new Kia Seltos is the new 1.5L 4-cylinder turbocharged T-GDi petrol engine. However, this new engine also powers the new Verna, Alcazar, and Carens, producing 160hp and 253nm of output. Meanwhile, Kia will also provide the 1.5L VTVT petrol and CRDi diesel engines. While the VTVT makes 114hp and 144nm, the CRDi diesel churns out 114hp and 250nm of output.

In terms of the gearbox, the 1.5L VTVT is available with a 6-speed manual and CVT automatic transmission. However, the 1.5L CRDi is available with a 6-Speed IMT and 6-Speed Automatic Transmission. The new T-GDi will be offered with 6-speed IMT and 7-speed DCT gearbox options only.

Pricing and the Competition

Kia has started the pre-launch bookings of the Seltos facelift from midnight of today. However, the carmaker will announce the prices of the new Seltos facelift in the coming weeks.  The new SUV is ready to take on the likes of Hyundai Creta, Maruti Grand Vitara, and Volkswagen Taigun. Moreover, the Kia Seltos facelift will lock its horns with MG Astor, Skoda Kushaq, Toyota Hyryder, and the upcoming Honda Elevate.

Kia India achieves new production Milestone

Recently, the Korean auto manufacturer has achieved a new production milestone. Kia India has produced 1 million cars and rolled out the 1 millionth unit from its Anantpur manufacturing plant. The 1 million production unit includes 5,32,450 units of Seltos, 3,32,450 units of Sonet, 1,20,516 units of Carens, and 14,584 units of Carnival.

However, the sales of the Seltos have crossed the 5 Lakh mark recently which contributes to 50% of the production milestone. As a part of the 1 million production milestone, Kia India has revealed its new vision for the market “Inspiring Mobility Solutions that enrich lives”. With the new vision, Kia India aims to provide an enhanced mobility experience to its new-age customers.
