Hero MotoCorp is set to introduce its first 440cc motorcycle by March 2024. This highly anticipated bike, inspired by the Harley-Davidson X440, will be available for sale alongside the X440 at Hero’s new premium showrooms.

Positioned as a formidable power roadster, the upcoming motorcycle draws design influences from the renowned Yamaha MT 01. It aims to cater to riders seeking a rugged appearance while prioritizing a commanding riding position and comfortable ergonomics.
Powertrain and Chassis of the new Hero bike
Although the motorcycle will share the chassis and engine with the X440, the sub-frame will differ. The overall styling reflects Hero’s fresh design language. Performance-wise, the new Hero motorcycle will feature the same 440cc, single-cylinder, oil, and air-cooled engine. This motor generates 27bhp at 6,000rpm and a peak torque of 38Nm at 4,000rpm. Meanwhile, the power will be channeled via the six-speed gearbox. Expect the gear ratios on the Hero to be tailored to suit the nature of the motorcycle.
Pricing, name, and Launch Timeline
Initially, there were discussions about launching this 440cc motorcycle under the Xtreme brand, but Hero is now considering introducing it under a new name. The highly anticipated bike is scheduled to debut in March 2024, with an expected price tag below Rs. 2 Lakhs (ex-showroom).
