Hero 400cc Siblings Spotted Testing

The news of Hero motorcycle coming up with two new bikes has been around for quite a while now. Recently the bikes were spotted testing in  Khardung La, Ladakh. The two motorcycles spied seem to be the Hero Xpulse 400 and the Xtreme 400. Although the company has not disclosed any information about the bike or its details and specification. The bikes are predicted to enter the market soon.

The first bike could be the Xpulse 400 which was previously revealed as a prototype. The bike was seen covered in camouflage. The details from the spy images show that it will have an engine casing. The small part of the frame spotted in the pictures reveals an upside-down fork up front and a mono-shock at the rear. It also will have wire-spoke wheels while a 21-inch front wheel. Other features seen through the camouflage images are a beak-style front mudguard, an upswept exhaust end can, and knobby tires. Overall it looks much like the prototype guise seen before. It’s dimensions sure reveal that it can be a adventure motorcycle.

The second spotted covered in camouflage could be the Xtreme 400. This camouflage bike shares similar looks to the Xtreme 200S. The spy images show a full fairing, a small windscreen, low-set, clip-on handlebars, a spilled-seat arrangement, and alloy wheels. Other details are petal-style discs at both ends. Same as the Xpulse 400, an upside-down fork and mono-shock suspension set-up are also predicted. It will also have Clip-on handlebars.

Although there are not many specifications revealed both these motorcycles can display 400cc engines and will be equipped with Hero’s new liquid-cooled, single-cylinder tech. Talking about the competition, the Xpulse 400 will compete against the KTM 390 Adventure and the BMW G 310 GS, While the Xtreme 400 will compete with the likes of  TVS Apache RR310 and KTM RC 390.
