Renault Kwid Recalled In India Due To Faulty Steering Rack

Renault India has silently issued a recall for its popular hatchback, the Kwid. The Indian arm of the French automobile manufacturer has undertaken a voluntary service campaign in order to to rectify issues regarding the steering rack of the Kwid.

Renault has currently recalled only the o.8-litre variants of the Kwid and has not revealed any details regarding the 1.0-litre and AMT variants of the hatchback, although all the models share the same steering rack. At the same time, Renault India has not disclosed the number of units affected due to the recall. Customers affected due to the recall will be contacted and the repairs, if any, will be carried out free of cost.

If you own a Renault Kwid, you could contact your dealership to enquire if your model has been affected due to the recall. The silent recall comes about a month after Renault India launched the 2018 Kwid Live For More Edition which comes with 10 new features as opposed to the standard variant.
