If the latest report by Autocar Professional are to be believed, Hero MotoCorp will extend its product portfolio with the launch of a new 125cc scooter before the end of second quarter of FY2017-18. While the report does not specify a particular product, the new scooter is most likely to be the Hero Dare which made its debut at the 2014 Auto Expo in Delhi.

The scooter which was showcased in the 2014 edition of the motoring event featured a 124.6cc force air cooled engine with 9.38bhp of peak power at 7500 rpm and 9.8 Nm of torque @ 6500 rpm and those numbers are not likely to change on the final product. The scooter has a 6 liter fuel tank with a reserve of 1.8 liters. Among the notable features of the stylish new scooter are – dual tone wheel design, full digital console, body painted brake calipers and full LED tail lights.
The new scooter would compete against the likes of Honda Activa 125 and the Suzuki Access 125 and is likely to be priced in the same range, if not marginally lower than its rivals.
