In an attempt to take Indian motorsports to a whole new league, ExxonMobil Lubricants, a wholly-owned affiliate of ExxonMobil Corporation, reaffirmed its partnership with Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) earlier this year, across all three of the latter’s 2016 adventure motorsports events – Desert Storm, Dakshin Dare and Raid de Himalaya.
The 18th edition of Raid de Himalaya that commences on October 8, 2016 in the rugged terrain and icy chill of Manali and concludes on October 15, 2016 – again in Manali. Mobil 1 is the official lubricant partner for this rally. The rally winds through approximately 3,000 km of rocky, serpentine roads, and participants often face low temperatures. At some points, cars negotiate sharp bends at altitudes touching 6,000 metres above sea level.
18th edition of Maruti Suzuki Raid De Himalaya to kick start from 8 October 2016
Raid’s conditions are known to test the endurance of both man and machine. Teams steer through some of the world’s highest and toughest motorable roads passing through Manali, Kaza, Sarchu, and Leh in Himachal Pradesh.
