Following yesterday’s silent launch in Maharastra, Bajaj Auto has now announced city wise prices for their new V15 premium commuter motorcycle. Here are all the ex-showroom prices for each major city:
New Delhi – INR 61,999
Mumbai – INR 62,820
Chennai – INR 63,682
Kolkata – INR 65,495
The Bajaj V15’s claim to fame has to be the fact that it has been made from scrapped metal sourced from the dismantled INS Vikrant, Indian Navy’s first aircraft carrier. Well, not entirely, but a few grams of metal from the deceased warship goes into making each V15’s fuel tank. The premium commuter is powered by a Bajaj’s single-cylinder, 150cc, DTS-i engine that delivers maximum torque of 13 Nm at 5500 RPM, and a peak power of 12 PS at 7500 rpm.
Other highlights of the new Bajaj V15 include a trapezoidal headlamp rated at 55/60W, 33 mm diameter front fork and rear shock absorbers – the largest in its class, a removable rear seat cowl, an instrument cluster with a dual colour LED fuel level indicator, a LED tail lamp, aluminium die-cast wheels with a double spoke design, a 240 mm front disc brake and a 120 section rear tire.
Stay tuned for a road test review of the Bajaj V15 soon.
