The Audi Q2 luxury compact SUV has been teased before its global début at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show in March 2016. Audi’s new baby SUV will be positioned below the Q3, taking the Q model count to four. Stylistic inferences will come from the all-new Q7, which include the trapezoidal, Singleframe grille, hard lines and taut surfacing; in lieu with Audi’s new design philosophy for utility vehicles. The teaser shows the Q2’s distinctive LED signature, as well as the vehicle’s volume.
To be based on Volkswagen Group’s MQB platform, which also underpins the Audi A3, the Q2 will be powered by a range of four-cylinder, turbocharged petrol and diesel engines with capacities ranging from 1.4- to 2.0-litres. The engines will be strapped to a choice of a 6-speed manual, or 6- and 7-speed S tronic transmissions, along with optional Quattro all-wheel drive. The Audi Q2 will be available in India later this year, or in 2017.
