The Ford EcoSport emerged as the highest ranked SUV according to J.D. Power Asia Pacific 2014 India Initial Quality Study (IQS) Study. Nigel Harris, president and managing director along with Raj Sarkar, vice president, Marketing received the coveted recognition at J.D. Power Asia Pacific’s 2014 India Automotive Awards Evening held recently.
The 2014 India Initial Quality Study (IQS) is based on evaluations from 8,429 vehicle owners who purchased a new vehicle between November 2013 and July 2014. The study included 73 vehicle models from 17 makes and was conducted between May 2014 and September 2014 in 30 cities across India.
Now in its 18th year, the study measures problems owners experience with their new vehicle during the first two to six months of ownership and examines more than 200 problem symptoms covering eight vehicle categories: engines and transmissions; vehicle exterior; driving experience; heating, ventilation and air-conditioning; features, controls and displays; vehicle interior; seats; and audio, entertainment and navigation.
