The original Mitsubishi Pajero was quite a hit in India and used to be the preferred chariot of movie stars until global luxury car brands invaded the country. In Current times, the comparatively modern Pajero Sport does manage to find a few buyers, however, with a sparse dealership and support network, sales have been rather dismal. All that could change if the next-gen Mitsubishi Pajero makes it here looking like this particular render.

An artist’s impression of what the SUV might look like when it is launched in Thailand sometime in August, this next-gen Mitsubishi Pajero Sport render certainly looks more striking and modern in comparison to the existing model. The front is dominated by a large X shape in the bumper, which has projector headlights at the two upper ends and fog lights gracing the bottom. Enhancing those sharp visual highlights is a multi-slat grille and a large honeycomb air-dam that takes center stage. A crease that follows the curve of the bonnet, extends to the sides, and is then carried forward through the shoulder line to merge with the tail lamp. Another groove that starts just above the headlamps takes off vertically into the roofline, creating a mini side profile of an SUV.
Wheel arches bulge out in a muscular fashion, while triangular tail lamps that are connected to the rear reflectors with what looks like a chrome strip, also create a vertical effect. To sum it up, if Mitsubishi does manage to assemble a Pajero Sport that looks like this in India and enhance their presence and support network, the new Pajero Sport could easily climb the ladder to compete with the Fortuner, the upcoming Endeavour and other players in the segment.
