If a recent report is to be believed, Hero MotoCorp plans to launch a naked motorcycle before the next edition of the Auto Expo. Now, even though the company has not specified any model in particular, we expect it to be the XTreme 200S. It was showcased at the home-grown brand’s pavilion at the 2016 Auto Expo along with other models such as the XF3R, Splendor iSmart 110 and the Duet-E.

The XTreme 200S, based on the Hero XTreme, is a muscular street fighter with enhanced performance and dynamics. As opposed to the 150cc variant, the XTreme 200S receives a mono suspension setup at the rear along with other features such as ABS. Based on a diamond type chassis design, the model comes equipped with disc brakes at both, the front as well as the rear. With looks inspired from a ‘Cheetah’, the new XTreme 200S will also feature LED lights.

Coming to the engine, the Xtreme 200S will receive the most powerful motor seen on the Xtreme model range yet. This 200cc air cooled, single cylinder 4 stroke engine will be capable of producing a power output of 18.6 PS at 8,500 rpm while the peak torque of 17.2 Nm comes up at 6,000 rpm. This 200cc mill sends power to the rear wheel via five speed transmission.

The news comes barely a few days after the company launched the all new Hero Splendor iSmart 110. The new Splendor iSmart is the first product to be developed completely in-house along with Hero’s own technology. The new 110cc engine comes mated to the company’s patented i3S technology.
