General Motors automobile division Chevrolet has unveiled the production spec Chevrolet Beat Activ at the 2016 Los Angeles Auto Show ahead of its global launch. The upcoming version of the India-bound Beat was earlier showcased as a concept at the 2016 Auto Expo held in February.

Visually, the Beat Activ retains most of its styling cues whivh were seen on the concept. Up-front, the model receives the signature dual grille design with a fat black slat on the larger grille, flanked by sweptback headlamps on either side, chunky bumper with plastic cladding, dull silver faux skid plate and fog lamps with chrome surrounds.
The side profile of the vehicle features side skirts in dull silver, prominent character lines, new ORVMs, and sport alloy wheels. At the rear, the model benefits from wrap around tail lights with LED inserts, a plastic cladded rear bumper with reflectors and a faux skid plate finished in dull silver.
Moving on to the interiors, the U.S. spec Beat Activ receives keyless entry, power windows, air conditioning, cruise control, seven inch touchscreen infotainment system, with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and a rear view camera.

While the U.S. spec model comes mated to a 96 hp 1.4-litre petrol engine, the India spec model will continue to be powere by the conventional 1.2-litre petrol engine and a 1.0-litre diesel engine. Once launched in India, the Beat Activ will take on the likes of the Mahindra KUV100 and the Maruti Suzuki Ignis. Test-mules of the Beat Activ have been spotted during a few road tests and hence it can be safe to assume that an India launch is not far away.
