In January 2015, Malayalam actor, petrol-head and celebrity Dulquer Salmaan picked up a Triumph Bonneville. Recently however, Dulquer got his Triumph customized as per his (good) tastes. With a theme that pays homage to legendary actor Steve Mc Queen of Bullitt fame, the modifications done to the Bonneville were carried out by the folks at Syamadynamic Triumph Kochi. According to the Dulquer, he took a time-span of 3 months just to decide on the colour scheme for the Bonneville’s tank.
The well done custom job includes the original shade of black being repainted to a light shade of blue on the tank, highlighted with canary yellow strips running from one side of the tank to the other. The Bonneville logo on the tank has been replaced with “McQueen” lettering, hand painted in black with a particularly vintage (and classy) font. The side panels retain their shade of black, but are now embellished with an addition of a sticker numbered “28”.
Some other changes to the bonny include the number plate stationed below the headlight rather then above the headlight as seen on the standard model, a custom front mudguard, bar end mirrors, a heat wrap on the exhaust manifold, a custom exhaust, a custom rear mudguard, a custom seat, rims painted in gloss black and a custom number-plate holder on the left side of the motorcycle.

The engine specifications for this Bonneville remain unchanged and is powered by the same 863 cc DOHC air cooled engine that produces a maximum power output of 60 hp at 7500 rpm while the peak torque of 61 Nm comes up at 5800 rpm. This engine sends power to the rear wheels via 5 speed gearbox. This 2015 Triumph Bonneville comes with a price tag starting at Rs. 6.2 lakhs while the 2016 model comes with a price tag that starts at Rs. 6.9 lakhs, both ex-showroom, Delhi.
The actor is known to have a penchant for high end vehicles and owns a BMW E46 M3, an M5, a Mercedes SLS AMG, a BMW K1200 GS apart from the recently acquired Triumph Bonneville. He was also spotted in Dubai recently taking a test drive of the BMW i8.
