Suzuki has unveiled the fuel injected version of their modern cruiser, the Intruder at the Delhi Auto Expo 2018. The 155cc air-cooled SOHC motor now boasts of fuel injection which takes the power output to 14.8 PS with 14 Nm of turning force.
The FI technology is equipped with 6 sensors that actively calculate the optimum amount of fuel to be injected for better combustion efficiency, thereby improving fuel economy and providing accurate throttle response across the rev band.
The engine continues to be powered by Suzuki’s Eco Performance technology that reduces fuel consumption and better acceleration. Buyers can also opt for Anti-Lock Braking Systems for better vehicle control.
In terms of features, the bike gets a fully digital instrument console and twin exhaust pipes with LED tail lamps. The Intruder can be specced in two shades – a Metallic Oort Gray and a Glass Sparkle Black. Buyers will also get the option of a 5 year warranty on the bike.
Mr. Satoshi Uchida, MD, Suzuki Motorcycles India that the launch of the Intruder FI and other models would help them reach their target of 1 Million sales by 2020. The Executive Vice-President of the company, Mr. Sajeev Rajasekharan said that the extended lineup would allow them to cater to every Indian customer who aspires a premium lifestyle.
