What we have here today is yet another speculative rendering of the upcoming new Ford Ka sedan aka new Ford Figo sedan. The latest speculative render, which comes from the good chaps at IAB, looks a fair bit like the one we saw couple of days ago. Akin to the previous render, the latest Ka sedan digital illustration suggests that the rear end of the Ford Figo sedan could borrow several design cues from existing cars in the American carmaker’s product line up.
Various reports suggest that the upcoming Figo/Ka would be unveiled next month and would replace the current Figo and current gen Ka sometime next year. The sedan variant is expected to follow the hatchback in mid 2014 and could come to us to replace the ageing Classic.
The next gen 2015 Ford Figo will be underpinned by a modified version of the current car’s platform. The next gen Figo will be lighter than current car and would come with new gen engines. One of the engines would be the EcoSport’s 1.0L three-cylinder engine, albeit in a lower state of tune. The car could come with new age technologies such as Powershift dual-clutch automatic transmission, SYNC infotainment system, EPAS (power steering), push button start, etc.
It is expected that the 2015 Ford Figo sedan (Classic replacement) and 2015 Ford Figo hatchback (current Figo replacement) would come to us in 2015, months after their public debut in 2014.
