Is this how the Yaris-inspired Toyota Etios Liva facelift would look like?

It is no secret that the Toyota Etios sedan and Liva hatchback have failed to take their respective segments by storm. It may be noted that in India, the Etios duo are the cheapest offerings from TKM and cater to the B and C segments of our car market.

The Etios sedan and the Liva hatchback are now close to getting a new lease of life and the facelift-ed version of both the slow selling cars will be launched in Brazil early next year. The cosmetic makeover should enable the Etios duo to soldier on before complete model replacements arrive in 2015.

Here are a couple of renderings of the Toyota Etios Liva facelift and if these are to be believed, the Etios refresh would be seen carrying design cues taken from the Yaris.

As can be seen in the first rendering here, the Etios Liva facelift would boast of a Yaris-like front end, which, at least in our opinion, looks more appealing than that of the current car.

The Etios and the Etios Liva, both of which have been criticized for low-quality interior panels, will come with slightly revised interiors. The centrally located instrument binnacle is likely to move to a more conventional location, in front of the driver.

Changes to the rear will be minimal, with the car getting only a set of re-profiled tail-lamps here. Other changes include a longer features list and a set of new mag wheels.

It would be interesting to see if these cosmetic updates would enable the Etios duo to post better figures on the sales charts of the car markets it is sold in.
