Only some time back, we reported that Yamaha Motor India has decided to focus only on bringing in new scooters to our rapidly developing two wheeler market. Now it has emerged that the popular bike maker plans to launch a ‘male specific’ automatic scooter in 2013. It may be noted that Yamaha India followed the likes of Hero Pleasure by targeting only the fairer sex with its recently launched Ray auto scoot.
It is being expected that Yamaha India will position its upcoming automatic scooter against the very popular Honda Aviator and that it will be powered by a single cylinder 125cc four stroke motor mated to a CVT transmission. Again, like the Aviator, the Yamaha 125cc automatic scooter will sport telescopic forks up front. Details are scare about the upcoming Yamaha, but safely expect class leading power figures and a digital instrument console.
The Yamaha 125cc auto scoot will carry a sticker price of INR 52000 and will is expected to be launched in mid-2013.
