India Yamaha Motor launched the Fazer 25, a news addition to the FZ Series. The new Fazer 25 has been introduced with a price tag starting at INR 1.28 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai). The model will be available in two colour options: Soulful Cyan and Rhythmic Red. Deliveries of the Fazer 25 will begin in the month of September 2017.
The Yamaha Fazer 25 will draw power from a 249cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder, fuel-injected engine that produces 20.9 PS of power at 8,000 rpm and 20 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm. This engine comes paired to a five speed gearbox. According to the company, this 250cc engine has been fine-tuned and optimized for the Indian traffic conditions as well. Primarily the intake/exhaust systems and the ignition system have been tuned to meet the Indian conditions. The new model has been developed with Yamaha’s new generation engine development ideal, the Blue Core technology. The model complies with BS-IV emission standards.
Speaking on the occasion, Masaki Asano, Managing Director, Yamaha Motor India Sales, said that Yamaha is known as the manufacturer of some of the versatile sport tourers that has created excitement in the motorcycling culture of the world. Since 2008, Yamaha has seen similar excitement in customers with the introduction of performance motorcycles in India. Now, it’s time Yamaha takes it to an all new high with the next line of the FZ generation bikes. With its improved looks and other suitable changes, the new Fazer 25 will keep up with the expectations of the FZ breed of riders.
