Wondered What An Off-Road Ready Nexon Looked Like? Check Out This Cool Render!

The Tata Nexon is one of the most popular compact SUVs in the Indian market. With its commendable safety rating, features, and design, Tata has been able to sell over 2 lakh Nexons till now. Now, though the Nexon looks handsome in its own right, it could always do with more rugged exteriors to match the SUV tag. Instagram page Alpha renders has gone ahead and created a 3D render of an off-road-ready Nexon! Let’s take a look at it:

What’s new?

Looking at the render, one can notice a custom wrap red paint job to make it stand out from the crowd. To suit the off-road purpose of the car, there are discover STT Pro tires fitted. A Blackhorse bullbar fitted at the front of the car.

There is a custom-made rack with a roof-mounted spare tire. A Hella lighting package has been added as well for more visibility. There’s also a lift kit for more ground clearance to tackle rough terrain. To finish the look off, there are Brastow rims from Black Rhino Wheels and custom painted brake caliper to match body color.

Tata Nexon: a quick recap

The last update of the Tata Nexon saw the addition of new 16-inch alloy wheels and the deletion of physical buttons for the infotainment system. The Tata Nexon comes with a turbocharged 1.2-liter 3-cylinder engine which produces 120hp and 170Nm of torque. The 1.5-liter diesel produces 110hp and 260Nm of torque. Both the engines get an option of a 6-speed manual or AMT gearbox. The Nexon gets features like a sunroof, projector headlamps with DRLs, TPMS, climate control, touchscreen infotainment system with android auto and apple car play, multi drive modes, Harman sound system, IRA connected car technology, electronic stability control, ABS, EBD, dual airbags and cruise control.

The Nexon goes up against the Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, and Mahindra XUV300 to name a few. The Nexon also comes with an electric powertrain. The Tata Nexon EV comes with a high energy density 30.2 kWh Lithium-ion battery and permanent synchronous magnet induction motor with IP 67 rating. It produces 129ps and 245nm of torque. The battery comes with an 8years / 1,60,000 km warranty. It comes with an ARAI-certified range of 312kms. The Nexon EV can be charged via a 15 ampere AC socket which would take around 10 hours to fully charge or a DC charger would take an hour to charge from 0 to 80%.
