The above photograph recently caught a lot of attention on social networking websites. At first, it seems like Arnab Goswami, the Editor-in-Chief and News anchor of the news channel Times Now, is on the other side of the law and in trouble with the red Lamborghini Huracan in the image. But was he really behind the wheel of this exotic car and was caught for over-speeding?

As much as many of us would like to roast the Newshour anchor, Goswami, as a responsible citizen, informed the local police about the imprudent driver of the Lamborghini Huracan. The driver of the Lamborghini, Samvit Ramesh Tara (39), a Juhu based businessman, was driving the vehicle very dangerously on the Bandra-Worli Sealink, putting the lives of others and himself in jeopardy.

Goswami, who was in a Maruti Swift Dzire, contacted the local police about the driver. The supercar, as seen in the image, carried a temporary number plate. On further enquiry, it was found that the red Lamborghini Huracan was a test drive vehicle belonging to the Lamborghini Mumbai located at Prabhadevi. An FIR has been lodged against the the businessman.

  1. I think what Arnab did was what a responsible citizen should do. Supercars driven rashly often end up with someone getting killed or atleast the beauty getting destroyed.

  2. for a moment you guys made me thought that he might be a cool person but noooo…. as expected he is like that nerd of your college who attends lecture on mass bunk day.

  3. The heading is quite misleading and your examination about why you picked this headline doesn’t sound convincing. This is just one of those cheap tricks to get hits over an otherwise dud article.. Please be more sensible next time around before pulling off another IndiaTV act.

  4. Hi Amrit,

We understand your concern and agree with you to a certain extent. There was a lot of buzz about the photograph over the social networking websites. What we merely did was mention the question which was trending on social website since morning and answered it stating the true facts.

    Cheers!

You are a publication of great stature. The choice of the headline is highly inappropriate. There is already enough misinformation on social media. I am no fan of Arnab Goswami but this was NOT FUNNY.
