Volvo India launched its luxury sedan, the S60 Cross Country that comes at a price tag of Rs.38.9 lakhs (Ex-Showroom, Mumbai). The new S60 Cross country will compete against the likes of the Mercedes C-Class, BMW 3-Series, Audi A4 and the new Jaguar XE.
Powering the S60 Cross Country is a 2.4-litre D5 five-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine that produces 190 hp of power at 4000 rpm and 420 Nm of torque at 1500-3000 rpm. This engine sends power to the wheels with the help of a 6 speed automatic transmission. The S 60 Cross Country comes with the All Wheel Drive (AWD) as a standard feature. Dimension wise, the vehicle measures 4638 mm in length, 1899 mm in width and 1539 mm in height while the wheelbase measures 2774 mm. It also receives a ground clearance of 201 mm.
On the insides, the S60 Cross Country features cruise control, park assist camera, park assist on the front and rear, rake and reach adjustable steering wheel, speed sensitive power steering, rain sensors, tyre pressure monitoring system, a TFT instrument cluster and navigation.
Safety features includes dual front airbags, seat belt reminder for the front seats, cut-off switch for the passenger airbag, hill descent control, hill start assist, Emergency Brake Assist (EBA), emergency brake light and Flashing Intelligent Driver Information System. Additional features include basic alarm with Interior Movement Sensor (IMS), personal car communicator with keyless drive, home safe lighting, child lock for the rear doors, sunroof and auto up/down power windows.
With the addition of this new model, Volvo’s product portfolio now includes six models: the S60, S80, V40, V40 Cross Country, XC60, XC90 and the S60 Cross Country.
