Volkswagen Tiguan India Launch In May 2017?

Reports suggest that the launch of the upcoming Volkswagen Tiguan is scheduled to take place in the month of May this year. The Indian arm of the German automobile manufacturer had earlier confirmed that the SUV would be arriving in the country this year although no launch date was mentioned.

Bookings for the upcoming SUV from Volkswagen will reportedly begin in April, a month ahead of its launch. Previously, a few units of the Tiguan SUV were spotted testing hinting at an imminent launch. Based on the company’s MQB platform, the India spec version of the upcoming model will be powered by a 147 bhp 2.0-litre turbocharged TDI diesel engine. This motor would come mated to a seven speed DSG gearbox.
