Vijay Deshpande is the Director HR of Škoda Auto India Private Limited. He will be responsible for leadership in Human Resources for ŠKODA AUTO and will play a key role in building a lean, focused and high performance organization.
Prior to joining Škoda Auto, Vijay held the position of the Zonal Head – HR (Mumbai, Maharashtra and Goa region) of Hindustan Coca–Cola Beverages Pvt Ltd. He has also worked in various MNCs like GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals Ltd, Clariant India and Owens Corning India Ltd. Vijay has a successful track record of working across industries and excels in implementation of HR Processes and initiatives for successful Business outcomes.
Vijay Deshpande has 26 years of proficiency and in-depth HR knowledge, which will play a crucial role in the development and deployment of HR processes and policies in the company. He will also be responsible for taking Company’s Talent Acquisition, Talent Management and Performance Management processes to the next level.
Having started his career in 1987 as a Management Trainee at Food Divisions of Indian Organic Chemicals Ltd, Vijay has worked in various senior level positions driving Business HR strategies for MNC organizations. He has completed his Post Graduate Diploma in HRM from NMIMS, Mumbai and is a recipient of Merit Scholarship of Mumbai University during PG studies.
