Just a day before the official unveiling, German car maker Mercedes has released another teaser video of its upcoming vehicle, the AMG GT. This new video titled ‘Mercedes-AMG GT: Form and Function – Design: Perfection Revealed’ explains the designing concept and the efforts that the team put in for creating the AMG GT.
Gorden Wagener, Vice-President of Design, Daimler AG said, “We are trying to create the purest possible design while also making it as inspiring as possible.This is where our philosophy comes into play once again. The sensual purity, creating something which is incredibly pure, incredibly modern, incredibly clean yet nevertheless exciting.”
He further added, “I believe we have created a truly unique sports car which will go down in the history of the company. All of these factors come together and make the car so special.”
The Mercedes-AMG GT will be powered by a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine and will come in two different engine tunes. The base variant will sport a 462hp engine while the high performance S-model will come with a 510hp unit. Both models will receive 650Nm of torque.
