Vespa 946 Unveiled at EICMA 2012

We saw many eagerly awaited bikes being unveiled at the 2012 EICMA show. While we are filled with excitement about the chances of these bikes making it to India, here is a Vespa that has just been revealed and has made us wish for its Indian launch. The new Vespa 946 scooter has a heavy dose of retro design with its styling inspired from the 1946 Mp6 prototype. The 946 is powered by a new engine and has a very low coefficient of drag to enhance fuel efficiency and performance.

Powered by a fuel injected, 125cc four-stroke Single cylinder motor, the Vespa 946 11.7 hp to play with. The scoot also gets traction control and has the two wheeler maker’s traditional monocoque body structure. Such is the focus on the aesthetics of the Vespa 946 that the single shock absorber on the rear wheel has been placed horizontally. The 946 makes use of a double-disc braking system with ABS.

We so want the 946 to come to India. Please Vespa. . Pretty please.
