All you Audi fans out there, the launch of the upcoming 2015 Audi TT is just around the corner and the car seems to have been sampled by some of publications and the details and images are out. So what’s new for 2015? The next generation Audi TT will be based on the MQB Platform which let’s the car shed as much as 50 kilograms. Moreover, Audi will load the TT Coupe with a 2.0 liter TFSI engine winning it a ’45’ badge within the company’s performance defined new nomenclature system. As one would expect, the car would come equipped with Quattro all wheel drive system and a six-speed S-Tronic gearbox.
The car has shed down the curves for a more aggressive appearance. Visually, the car looks very different from the outgoing model with a refreshed front fascia including edgier headlights, a revised front grille and new air ducts. The rear section also receives a newly designed tail light and bumper. The five spokes of the new alloys allow you to look through them with a hollow centre. The new TT will also be equipped with the Virtual Cockpit system.
Mechanically, power will delivered from a 2.0-litre four-cylinder TFSI petrol engine that puts out 230 hp of power and 370 Nm of torque. This power output helps the TT Coupe to propel from naught to 60 mph mark in about 5 seconds (0-100 kph in 5.3 seconds) before reaching a top-speed of 250 kph.
The Audi TT will reach Indian shores as a CBU and we expect the prices to hover in the Rs 50-60 lakh bracket. So would you like to get your hands on this German coupe? Do let us know your opinions through the comments section below.
