The upcoming Hyundai ix25 compact crossover has been detailed out in images. After the new Elite i20, this should be sum up to be the next blockbuster for Hyundai India.
The ix25 is styled on the lines of the Elite i20, and is a departure from the fluidic fuss. Also worth noting is that the production version stays almost true to the original. The front gets some character from the bigger Santa Fe, especially the grille with them chunky slats. The upswept headlamps with DRLs and projectors also remind one of the Elite i20. Front bumpers bear a massive air dam and trapezoidal, vertically aligned fog lamps. The sides are unassuming and even the rear is clean, with a two step rear bumper and slim tail lamps.
The insides look mediocre, with a big LCD display on the center console, pleasingly styled dashboard and vertically stacked HVAC vents- typical Hyundai fare. The instrument cluster looks similar to the one in new Elite i20, with a dual dial and Multi Function Display (MFD) sitting pretty between the gauges. Apart from that, there’ll be a multi-function steering wheel and a Push Start/Stop button amongst other things.
Although the length is a tad above 4 meters, Hyundai Motor India Ltd. is bound to price it aggressively.The ix25 is expected to come to India by mid-2015 and will supposedly feature electrically adjustable ORVMs, electronic front seats, touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control, rear AC vents, heated seats, panoramic sunroof, differential lock and hill descent control.
