TVS to launch Wego based automatic scooter next month. Spotted testing

TVS Male Specific scooter launch 1

While we don’t really have any concrete information on the 200cc plus variant of the Apache, it has now become for sure that South India based two wheeler manufacturer TVS Motors will soon launch yet another automatic scooter in Indian two wheelers market.

It is being said that the upcoming scooter is based on the Wego platform. As can be seen in the pics, the taillamp of the upcoming scooter is the same as that of the Scooty Streak. The pics also reveal that the scooter will have a different exhaust. Overall styling too is expected to be much different.

The upcoming TVS Scooter was caught testing along with the 110cc Neo. However, the Neo isn’t coming to us any time soon and in all probability, was undergoing routine tests when it was spotted.

Powering the new TVS automatic scooter will be Wego’s 110cc engine. There are good chances that the scooter will sport a ‘male specific’ design and will battle it out against the Honda Aviator and the Suzuki Access. The upcoming Wego based scooter might be launched next month, with a price tag that will undercut that of the Japanese rivals.

Watch out for this space for more info.

  1. As per TVS employee, the above scooter is 100cc Scooty streak. TVS Neo is also going to be launched soon.

  2. Hope this time they design better. It seems like they got full of grey haired people engaged in designing. They should get younger generation, so they can address the requirement of people. They retained origin of old tail lamp and mag wheels which looks like stick made. Not up to today’s tastes.
