India’s third largest two wheel manufacturer TVS Motor Co said on Saturday that it will invest in the Mahabharat Motors Manufacturing Co, once the required regulatory and legal clearances have been dealt with. The said plant had commenced the manufacturing operations in September, 2010.
However, the manufacturer reserved itself from commenting on how much exactly it plans to invest. TVS Motor had entered into a pact with West Bengal’s manufacturing company in 2008 for providing technical support to them and TVS now plans for a larger role in the spin-off entity.
The popular manufacturer will keep the existing staff and workers of Mahabharat Motors and it aims to manufacturer around 1,000 motorcycles per month initially, it said.
