Triumph Speed 400 dispatch begins-Here’s all you need to know!

Triumph Motorcycles has officially started the dispatch process of Speed 400. The manufacturing of this two-wheeler takes place at the Bajaj Plant near Chakan, Pune. Meanwhile, the deliveries for the Speed 400 will start at the end of July 2023.

Triumph starts the dealer dispatch process

The motorcycle manufacturer introduced the Speed 400 at a starting price of Rs. 2.23 Lakhs ex-showroom. However, they have increased the price to Rs. 2.33 Lakhs ex-showroom after receiving 10,000 bookings.

Triumph will manufacture both the Speed 400 and Scrambler 400X in the Bajaj plant at Chakan. Now, the 2-wheeler maker has started the dispatch to dealer process of the Speed 400. It means that bikes will be accessible to the customers by end of this month.

About Triumph Speed 400

Triumph Speed 400 is the latest offering from the house of the premium bike maker. The design of the Speed 400 looks sporty and modern. It gets a low-slung exhaust, spoked alloy wheels, and a rear grab rail. Meanwhile, the Speed 400 gets a curved fuel tank and knee indents.

The new Speed 400 features a circular LED headlight, an upright seating position, and a semi-digital instrument panel. The panel includes an analogue speedometer and a digital display which shows information such as the gear, tachometer, fuel level, and range.

However, Triumph has loaded this bike with many features. It gets a ride-by-wire throttle system, traction control, dual-channel ABS, and Anti-theft system.

Moreover, this bike is available in various dual-tone colour options. It includes Carnival Red, Caspian Blue, and Phantom Black.

Engine and Gearbox

The Triumph Speed 400 uses a 398cc, TR-series, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine. This engine makes 40hp of power output at 8,000rpm and 37.5nm of torque at 6,500rpm. Meanwhile, the transmission duties are done by the 6-Speed Manual Gearbox unit.

Suspension, Braking, and Wheels

The Speed 400 gets USD forks in its suspension setup with a travel of 140mm at the front and 130mm at the rear. However, it gets 17-inch alloy wheels with a front wheel of size 110/70-R17 and a rear wheel of size 150/60-R17.

Meanwhile, the braking duties are done by the 300mm front disc and 230mm rear disc brakes. The seat height of the Triumph Speed 400 is 790mm and the kerb weight is 176kgs.

Pricing, Warranty, and Competition

Currently, the price range of the Triumph Speed 400 is Rs. 2.33 Lakhs Ex-showroom. This bike has a standard warranty of 2 years or unlimited kilometres. Meanwhile, the customers can opt for an extended warranty of 3 years.

The Triumph Speed 400 will compete with Harley Davidson X440, BMW G310 series, KTM range and the upcoming Royal Enfield Himalayan 450. Furthermore, this bike will also compete with upcoming Royal Enfield 350cc motorcycles.
