Triumph Motorcycles India is all set to extend its product portfolio with the launch of the new Bonneville Bobber. The Indian arm of the British marquee had earlier shared a teaser video of the upcoming motorcycle.
Based on a new frame designed specifically to cater to the short dimensions and solo seat design of the traditional bobber, the motorcycle features design cues such as a circular headlight, single seat setup, flat handle-bar with bar end mirrors and a slash cut design exhaust. A few other highlights of the Bonneville Bobber include an exposed rear monoshock suspension, single disc brake setup at the front and rear. Triumph India is also likely to offer a range of customization options.
The Triumph Bonneville Bobber, based on Triumph’s Bonneville range of motorcycles, is powered by a 1200cc parallel twin engine. This motor is tuned to develop 76 bhp at 6100 rpm and 106 NM of torque at 4000 rpm. Transmission duties are taken care of by a six speed gearbox that sends power to the rear wheel. The Triumph Bonneville Bobber also comes equipped with Ride-By-Wire, ABS, switchable traction control and ride modes.
The motorcycle, as aforementioned, is scheduled to be launched on March 29, 2017. We’d be covering the event LIVE so don’t forget to tune into Motoroids at 11:30 AM on March 29. Till then, do let us know your views about the upcoming Bonneville Bobber through the comments section below.
