Toyota today announced the participation of the winners of the inaugural EMR Trophy in the Vios One Make Race in Thailand.

Scheduled to be held this week, the Vios One Make Race is organized by Toyota Motor Thailand in association with Toyota Racing Development (TRD). The EMR drivers will be participating in the 3rd and the 4th rounds of Toyota Motorsport 2013 which is scheduled for the 19th & 20th of October and the 9th & 10th of November respectively. The 3rd round will take place in the northern province of Chiang Mai in Thailand and the 4th round will take place in the capital city, Bangkok. The participating drivers will be trained in the Toyota Racing School by TRD in Thailand.

Speaking on this occasion, Mr. N Raja, Senior Vice President, Marketing, Toyota Kirloskar Motor said, “Toyota had launched EMR in India with a promise to provide young & talented motorsport enthusiasts a platform to exhibit their skills and we have succeeded in helping these young talent find a place of their own. EMR was launched in India in 2012 and we have come a long way ever since. 2012 saw two hugely successful exhibition races at Chennai and Gurgaon, and finally an international exposure at the Colombo Night Race in December. The inaugural EMR trophy this year gave us the first winners of EMR and we are very happy to take them to Thailand for Toyota Motorsport 2013- a Toyota Racing event. This reiterates Toyota’s commitment towards motorsports in India as these young EMR drivers will get an opportunity to be a part of the Vios One Make Race.

EMR being just a little over a year old in India, has already given the drivers an international exposure while racing at the Colombo Night Race 2012 in Sri Lanka last December. The Vios One Make Race in Thailand will give the EMR drivers their second international exposure within such a short span of time.
