Recently we reported that Toyota has launched a limited edition of the Liva hatchback named Xclusive.While, it is no secret that the Toyota Etios sedan has failed to take its segment by storm, Toyota has now come up with the limited edition for Etios sedan which is the cheapest offering from Toyota in the C segment of the Indian car market.This car, which is being marketed as second anniversary celebration edition, has been christened as the Toyota Etios Xclusive.
This Etios Xclusive edition comes with refreshed interiors that get a two tone finish for the dash. Toyota-Kirloskar Motors has intimidated that they will build only 1000 units of the Etios Xclusive Edition.
Apart from the refreshed interiors and a 1,000 car limit, Toyota has not revealed other details of this Xclusive Edition. Even the prices haven’t been declared yet. As the Indian auto industry is undergoing a phase of really slow sales, we guess that Toyota won’t increase the prices of the Etios Xclusive. The engine options have been carried over from the standard model, which means that the special edition car comes with two engine options, 1.5 liter petrol engine and a 1.4 liter turbo diesel engine.
It would be interesting to see if this Etios Xclusive edition will be able to pull the entry level C segement buyers to Toyota showrooms. It would be interesting to see if the Etios Exclusiv would be potent enough to eat into the sales of the high selling Maruti Suzuki Dzire and the Honda Amaze.
