The all-new Toyota Innova Crysta made its Indian debut at the 2016 Auto Expo held in Delhi last month. The outgoing model, the ubiquitous Innova, recently saw the end of its life cycle at the production line to make way for the Innova Crysta. The upcoming MPV has now been spotted on Indian roads giving a hint that its launch is almost upon us.

Earlier reports suggested that the outgoing generation as well as the Innova Crysta would be sold side-by-side, but it was later confirmed that the last unit of the current gen Innova had rolled off the production line at the company’s plant in Bidadi, Karnataka.

Powering the upcoming Innova Crysta globally is a 2.4 litre and a 2.8 litre diesel engine while reports suggest that the company might also be working on a sub 2.0 litre variant of the MPV for markets such as Delhi. These engines will send power to the wheels with the help of either a 5 speed manual transmission or a six speed automatic transmission.
