Toyota Etios sedan and Liva hatchback facelift launch this month

Etios-Liva

It is no secret that the Toyota Etios sedan and Liva hatchback have failed to take their respective segments by storm. It may be noted that the Etios duo are the cheapest offerings from TKM and cater to the B and C segments of our car market.

The Etios sedan and the Liva hatchback are now close to getting a second lease of life and the facelift version of both the slow selling cars will launched this month. The Toyota Etios facelift will come with more features and the Liva hatchback will finally get the powerful 1.5L petrol engine from the sedan sibling.

It is being said that the Toyota Etios Liva and sedan will be launched with as many as 118 modifications to interior and exterior. It is also being said that the facelifted cars have started reaching dealerships and have been seen sporting revised headlamps and taillights along with updated interiors.

The cabin of the updated car will come draped in beige and will have a new In Car Entertainment system with Bluetooth, AUX in and USB support. Other changes include seats with adjustable headrests and some new bits for dashboard.

Mechanical changes include re-worked suspension, bigger 15” tyres and hydraulic mounting of engine to reduce vibrations.

The Etios Liva 1.5 looks all set to become the next hot hatch in its segment with a max power output of 90 PS at 5600 rpm and peak torque figure of 132 Nm at 3000 rpm. The motor will be mated to a 5 speed manual gearbox and the car will have a claimed fuel economy figure of 18.31 kmpl.
