These Cars will Hit the Indian Roads Soon

The year 2023 has already begun with a bang for the Automotive industry. We saw a plethora of launches and reveals at the 2023 Auto Expo. Most of the cars showcased will be launched in the coming months. Let’s take a look at some of the cars that will be hitting the roads in the coming months.

Toyota Innova Crysta

After being absent for a short duration, the ideal MPV of India will be returning to the market. Toyota has recently commenced the bookings for the Innova Crysta. Toyota Innova Crysta is tweaked with noticeable cosmetic highlights like bumpers, fog light housing and grille with chrome surround. Mechanically, Toyota will offer only the 2.4L GD series diesel powertrain that produces 150 PS and 343 Nm of output mated to a 5-speed manual transmission.

Citroen eC3

One of the newer brands in the market, Citroen debuted its eC3 last month. Based on the C3 hatchback, the eC3 is more or less similar to it’s regular counterpart. However, the noticeable highlights are the absence of a tailpipe exhaust system and the presence of a charging port at the front fender. The gear stick is now replaced by the new drive selector. Mechanically, Citroen C3 EV has a 29.2kwh battery pack with 320kms of range as per ARAI. The front axle-mounted motor generates 57 PS and 143 Nm of output.

Hyundai Verna

Hyundai is on the verge of introducing the new generation of the Verna. Recently, Hyundai has commenced the bookings of the sedan. Hyundai will provide the sedan with a host of features. Mechanically, Hyundai Verna will be powered by a 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol engine and a 1.5L TGDi turbo petrol engine. The former will deliver 114 PS and 144 Nm meanwhile the latter will deliver 160 PS and 260 Nm of output. Hyundai Verna is slated to be launched on 21 March 2022

Honda City facelift

One of the prominent sedans in India, Honda City is bound to get its mid-life facelift iteration. Honda City is expected to receive various cosmetic revisions and the addition of new features. Mechanically, Honda City will be powered by a 1.5L i-VTEC petrol engine that churns out 120 PS and 145 Nm of output. Honda City is slated to be launched on 2 March 2022.

Maruti Suzuki Brezza CNG

Maruti’s sub-4-meter compact SUV, Brezza is on the verge to get the CNG iteration. This will be the first CNG-powered compact SUV in its segment. In terms of cosmetics and features, it will be similar to its regular counterpart. Mechanically, Maruti Brezza will be powered by a 1.5L K-Series engine producing 100 PS and 137 Nm in petrol mode and 88hp and 121Nm in CNG mode mated to a 5-speed Manual Transmission with an optional 6-speed Automatic Transmission.

Maruti Suzuki Fronx

Another upcoming product from India’s largest car maker, Maruti Suzuki is launching another sub-4-meter compact SUV in the market. This latest SUV is based on the Baleno hatchback with coupe styling. Mechanically, Maruti Fronx will be powered by a 1.2L VVTpetrol and a 1.0L booster jet turbo petrol powertrain. Maruti Fronx will be retailed via NEXA showrooms.
