The Indian Chieftain Jack Daniel’s Limited Edition downs a 100 shots within 10 minutes

No it doesn’t have a drinking problem this bike. Neither is it a bald headed bar regular. But the Indian Chieftain Jack Daniel’s limited edition is a motorcycle that has turned well mannered connoisseurs into fast drinking guzzlers who forgot to hold their drink. The reason for that being, only a 100 examples of this motorcycle have been made, and each one of them was sold out within 10 minutes after bookings opened.

Mechanically identical to the sober, yet equally classy Indian Chieftain, this Jack Daniel’s edition was announced as a special collaboration between the American bike maker and the Tennessee based whiskey distillery – Jack Daniels. The Polaris owned manufacturer had started accepting pre-order deposits for the limited edition bike at 12 noon, and by 12.10, all 100 units were gone.

With design inputs from Klock Werks Cycles of Mitchell, South Dakota, this Chieftain gracefully carries a white and black crystal paint scheme with charcoal coloured accents that were inspired by Jack Daniel’s charcoal-mellowing process. Old No. 7 logos have also been peppered around the bike. Each of the 100 limited edition JD Indian Chieftain will feature an American flag made out of Jack Daniel’s barrel wood and will include the name of the customer, registration number and VIN of the bike.

The limited edition Indian Chieftain Jack Daniel’s edition will also carry the manufacturing serial number and a silver Jack Daniel’s horn cover badge handcrafted by Montana Silversmith. The limited edition model is priced at $33,799 (approximately Rs. 22.06 lakh). However, they’re all sold out and we doubt if one or some of them have found a home in India.

Other bespoke features on the Indian Chieftain Jack Daniel’s edition include, a 19-inch, 10-spoke contrast cut front wheel and open fender, a 200 watt audio system including premium saddlebag audio. Inscription of Jack Daniel’s “Bottles and Throttles Don’t Mix” mantra. Unique cam, primary and air intake covers, custom embossed tank console with unique build number, debossed leather tank pouch with Jack Daniel’s “Old No. 7″ logo and Jack Daniel’s “Old No. 7” billet driver and passenger floorboards.

Speaking on the occasion, Polaris Industries – President of Motorcycles, Steve Menneto said, “Without a doubt, this brand collaboration and motorcycle are tapping directly into a deep sense of patriotism and American pride. We couldn’t be prouder to be a part of it.” He further said, “This overwhelming level of demand is an incredible testament to the power of these two iconic American brands.”
