The people of Chennai presented a unique token of good luck to their favorite IPL team – Chennai Super Kings, specially designed pillows with personalized good luck messages. The pillows were handed over by Mr. Ravi Chawla, CEO & President, Gulf Oil Corporation Ltd from Gulf Oil Corporation during a special function organized at M A Chidambaram cricket stadium in Chennai today.
On Tuesday and Wednesday last week, Chennai’s Express Avenue mall was a forum for the fans of the Chennai Super Kings to pen down their good messages for the entire team. This promotional event was organized by Gulf Oil, the champion team’s sponsor for the last three years. During this event, thousands of CSK fans inscribed their messages on pillows kept at specially designed booth in the mall. ‘Dhoni, my super-hero’, ’I Love you, MSD’ were a few of the prominent messages on the pillows, branded with CSK emblem.
On this occasion Mr. Ravi Chawla, CEO & President, Gulf Oil Corporation Ltd said, “We have been proudly supporting team CSK for the last three years now and wish them all the best for IPL season 6. We gave people of Chennai an unique chance to inscribe their good luck messages for team CSK during the 2 day promotion held at the Express Avenue mall. This is our unpretentious attempt to present team CSK with good luck messages from their supporters for the upcoming season.”
He added, “The pillow good message campaign is a new concept based on our current television advertisement that has become very popular. The response for this promotion has been great especially since we also had a lucky draw contest, wherein five lucky fans would meet the Chennai Super Kings team at a meet and greet session going to be organized at later dates.”
