Tata smitten by World Cup fever?

While the intense battles are on in full swing at the football World Cup in Africa, we have got a tip from Economic Times about Tata’s South Africa plans. The India car and truck maker is contemplating setting up a production plant in South Africa, which facilitate the manufacturing of utility vehicles and small and medium sized trucks. Tata Motor’s senior official Mr. P. M. Telang told reporters, “We are looking at assembling medium-sized trucks and small trucks there for now. We will finalise something before the end of this financial year.” Yeah we know trucks don’t fascinate you as much as cars do; you may go back to watching the World Cup on your idiot box now or check out the other interesting stories that we put up today…

Could the Venture be one of the utility vehicles that will be manufactured in South Africa?
