Tata Nexon’s XZ And XZA Variants Discontinued

Tata has discontinued the XZ and XZA trims of the Nexon which were available with both, petrol and diesel engine options. This variant was positioned between the XM(S) and XZ+ trims and used to offer features like a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and an 8-speaker Harman sound system, and steering-mounted audio controls. The Nexon range now comprises the  XE, XM, XM (S), XZ+, XZ+ (HS), XZ+ (O), and XZ+ (P) trims in addition to their automatic counterparts.

Tata Nexon: A Brief Recap

Tata recently updated the Nexon with a new color called Royal Blue. With the new color option, Tata has also launched 4-new variants named XZ+ (P), XZA+ (P), XZ+ (HS), XZA+ (HS). Tata has mentioned that these variants will also be offered in Dark Edition. These new variants XZ+ (P)/ XZA+ (P) are equipped with features such as Premium Benecke Kaliko Leatherette ventilated front seats, an air purifier, and auto-dimming IRVM. Whereas, the XZ+ (HS) / XZA+ (HS) variants will also get an air purifier. The compact SUV also recently crossed the 3 lakh production milestone.

The Nexon is the first car in India to receive a full 5-star adult safety rating by Global NCAP, an internationally renowned automotive safety accreditation body, and is much acclaimed for its class-leading safety, design, and driving pleasure. The SUV comes in both petrol and diesel engine options. While the petrol is a 1.2-liter turbocharged mill tuned to produce 118 bhp and 170 Nm of peak torque, the latter is a 1.5-liter motor good for 108 bhp and 260 Nm of power figures.

The current Tata Nexon is well equipped with LED DRLs, a revised front grille, lower part rather, scuff plates, flat bottomed steering, a digital instrument cluster, 7” infotainment system with Android Auto and apple car play, Auto A/C, keyless entry, cruise control, and a sunroof. The Nexon is priced between ₹7.55 lakh and ₹13.25 lakh and it goes up against the likes of the Kia Sonet, Maruti Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Mahindra XUV300, Nissan Magnite, and Renault Kiger. The Nexon is also offered in EV variants called as the Nexon EV and EV Max.
