It is a well known fact that the Nano entry-A segment car hasn’t really managed to set the sales charts on fire. All this can be attributed to the various fire-incidents that marred the image of the car. Also responsible is the general perception that the car is meant to be bought by the ‘poor’. Whatever the reasons might be, the truth is that Tata really needs do something to revive the fortunes of the “world’s cheapest car.”

It has now emerged that the makers of the ‘small wonder’ will launch the Nano facelift tomorrow. Other than the launch of the Nano facelift, the compact car will also be seen getting two more updates within the next few months.

Talking about these two updates, the car might get a CNG variant, power steering and features from the special edition variant that was launched earlier. The car could also get features like dual glove boxes and a USB compatible music system.

The Tata Nano facelift has been spotted on numerous occasions and we hence know what the car looks like. The 2013 Tata Nano facelift comes with chrome strips on the bonnet and at tailgate, just above the bumpers. The rear bumper gets more air vents and this should help in better cooling of the diesel variant’s 800cc oil burner.

The car also gets a new blue exterior color option. The interiors too are being expected to get minor updates such as an upholstery change, a revised centre console and probably an updated features list.

It remains to be seen if the addition of new features, along with inclusion of a CNG variant in near future would enable the Nano to have a better showing on the sales charts.

  1. If TATA had released the earlier NANO LX model with some high standards from the first day of it's launching means sure they will get sucess. It's ok.atleast they realise after a great lession.
Normally TATA do lakhs value things on their car desin but failed to complete it by omitting to do a thousand rupees things which turns all the good efforts into worthless. It's good that TATA MOTORS designing team to realise this.
