Tata Motors is set to launch the Nexon and Nexon EV facelift on September 14, with bookings starting on September 4. The 2023 Nexon comes with several updates and new features.
Exterior Changes
The Nexon facelift features a split-headlamp setup with a redesigned upper grille section and sequential LED daytime running lights. The rear boasts a full-width LED light, a relocated reverse light, and a faux skid plate. Ground clearance remains at 208mm. The side profile showcases a contrasting accent line and new alloy wheels.

Tata Nexon Interior Transformation
Inside, the Nexon facelift draws inspiration from the Curvv concept, with a new 10.25-inch touchscreen and a two-spoke steering wheel. The slimmer and more angular AC vents, along with a reduction in physical buttons, enhance the cabin’s modern feel. Notably, a 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster can also display navigation. The top-spec model includes a 360-degree camera, connected car tech, a wireless charger, ventilated front seats, air purifier, and more.



Powertrain Continuity
The Nexon facelift retains its powertrain options, including the 120hp, 170Nm 1.2-liter turbo-petrol engine with a choice of four gearboxes, and the 115hp, 160Nm 1.5-liter diesel engine, available with both manual and automatic transmissions. Moreover, the engine is known to good power delivert. Although it is not as refined as Volkswagen’s and Hyundai’s 3-cylinder petrol engines.

Nexon New Naming Scheme
Tata Motors has introduced a new naming scheme for the Nexon facelift, moving away from the ‘X’ nomenclature. The new trims include Smart, Smart+, Smart+ (S), Pure+, Pure+ (S), Creative, Creative+, Creative+ (S), Fearless, Fearless (S), and Fearless+ (S), with ‘+’ indicating optional packages and ‘(S)’ indicating trims with a sunroof.

Expected Pricing and Competition
The prices for the Nexon facelift will be announced on September 14, with expectations ranging from Rs 8 lakh to 15 lakh (ex-showroom). It will compete with models like the Mahindra XUV300, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Maruti Suzuki Fronx, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Renault Kiger, and Nissan Magnite.
