Tata Motors launches Bolt hatchback in Nepal; prices start at NPR 23.95 lakh

Tata Motors has announced the launch of the Bolt hatchback in Nepal. Tata’s new hatchback will be available for sale through 16 Sipradi outlets throughout the country. Customers in Nepal can have the Tata Bolt in one of the following five colours – Venetian Red, Pristine White, Platinum Silver, Sky Grey, and Dune Beige. The hatchback will be offered in three trims – XE, XM and XT.

The Tata Bolt comes with two engine choices; there’s the Revotron 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine that develops 90 PS of power at 5000 rpm and 140 Nm of torque between 1500 to 4000 rpm. There’s also the familiar 1.3-litre Quadrajet diesel unit; this engine develops 75 PS of power at 4000 rpm and 190 Nm of twist between 1750-3000 rpm. Both engines come paired to a 5-speed manual transmission. As far as the car’s’ fuel economy figures are concerned, the petrol Bolt is rated by ARAI at 17.57 km/l and the diesel Bolt is rated by the ARAI at 22.95 km/l.

Features on the Tata Bolt include projector headlamps, foglights, alloy wheels, Harman touchscreen infotainment system (capable of video playback) with Bluetooth, Aux-in and phone-based navigation system. Other features offered are automatic climate control with touch controls, dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, and Cornering Stability Control. The petrol variant starts off at NPR 23.95 lakh (ex-showroom, Kathmandu) and the diesel avatar starts at NPR 28.35 lakh (ex-showroom, Kathmandu).
