Mahindra on the other hand is working on a compact SUV which will be designed in line with the XUV500. Mahindra has codenamed the upcoming compact SUV as S101. Powering the is expected to be the same 1.5-litre twin-turbo diesel powertain that is found on the Quanto. The petrol unit is expected to be borrowed from Mahindra’s Korean partner SsangYong.
These two vehicles are expected to be launched late this year or earlier next year.
