Tata Hexa Spotted 3

Weeks after the production-ready Tata Hexa was showcased at the Auto Expo 2016 earlier this month, a completely undisguised example has been spotted on the road in Mumbai. First showcased as a concept at the Geneva Motor Show in 2015, the Hexa comes with sharp cosmetic features reflecting the newly defined design language – IMPACT.

The Tata Hexa, a spiritual successor to the Aria, measures 4764 mm long, 1895 mm wide, 1780 mm tall and has a wheelbase of 2850 mm. Its is powered by a 2.2-litre diesel engine, good for 154.21 hp and 400 Nm of maximum torque, with a shift-on-the-fly 4WD system to be offered as an option. Transmission options will include a 6-speed manual and an all-new 6-speed automatic. A multi- drive option with four modes – Auto, Comfort, Dynamic and Rough Road, will also be available.

Compared to the Aria, the Hexa gets all-new interiors, a Harman sourced 5″ touch-screen equipped infotainmnet system, a JBL 10 speaker system with subwoofer and amplifier, an 8-way electrically adjustable driver seat, multi-coloured ambient car illumination and much more. The HEXA comes with safety features like 6 airbags, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brake force Distribution (EBD) and Corner Stability Control, Vehicle Dynamic Control, Traction Control System and Engine Drag Control System.
