Tata will be unveiling its compact SUV, the Nexon, at the upcoming Auto Expo 2016. This upcoming compact SUV from the stables of the Indian car maker has already been snapped several times during its test runs. The latest images of the upcoming Nexon reveal the steering wheel, instrument cluster and the dashboard of the AMT variant of the compact SUV.

The Nexon will share several bits and pieces with its smaller siblings and will sport a Tata Zica style instrument panel. The short diameter multifunction steering wheel is similar to other Tata products too. The speedometer and the tachometer are cocooned in dull silver instrument binnacle while the air-conditioning controls are rotary style units. The test vehicle in these spy images does not have an touchscreen entertainment system and automatic climate control but you can expect to see these features on the top of the line variant.

As reported earlier, the Nexon is expected to draw power from a turbocharged 1.2 liter, three-cylinder, all-aluminum Revotron petrol engine from the Zica, with close to 120 bhp on tap. A 1.3 liter Multijet oil burner is also expected to power the Nexon and should deliver about 75 bhp of power. There will be an F-Tronic AMT for the diesel on offer, in a more refined state of tune.

As aforementioned, the new compact SUV will be unveiled at the Auto Expo 2016 and you can get all the updates on Motoroids. Till then, share your views about the Tata Nexon compact SUV with us through the comments section below.
