Snowman Logistics adds Isuzu D-Max vehicles to its fleet

Isuzu Motors India Private Limited delivered 3 Isuzu D-Max Single Cab vehicles to Snowman Logistics, a leading integrated temperature controlled logistics service provider in the country. The company chose the Isuzu D-Max to add to its existing fleet of reefer trucks as it offers unmatched reliability and performance especially for refrigerated applications.

Commenting at the key handover occasion, Mr. Shigeru Wakabayashi, Deputy Managing Director, Isuzu Motors India, said, “We are extremely happy to have Snowman as our customer, as we believe they have set a benchmark in the Indian cold-chain business in line with global standards, with state-of-the-art systems, processes and logistics. The choice of the Isuzu D-Max to service their high customer expectations only reiterates the D-Max’s world renowned reliability and efficiency. We are confident that our presence in the cold-chain transportation will increase manifold in the future.” 

Speaking at the occasion, Mr. Kannan, CEO, Snowman Logistics, said, “We have witnessed immense potential and value in the D-Max, especially with refrigerated applications. The product is appropriately designed to also meet the requirements of the cold-chain business and adding the D-Max to our existing fleet, will certainly enhance our efficiency levels.” 

The Isuzu D-Max is powered by a 2499cc, 4-cylinder inter-cooled turbocharged diesel engine, mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. It has a heavy-duty chassis, a large cargo bed to accommodate a refrigerated container and its body structure is made from high-tensile steel.

The new D-MAX Space Cab’s unique feature is its extended cabin space of 1.5 feet behind the drivers’ seat, which can store valuable/ fragile goods. It offers features like Power steering, Power windows, Centralized door lock, AC with heater etc., making it ideal for commercial use in industries like Dairy, Agriculture, Retail, Engineering, Manufacturing and Small businesses.

Isuzu has plans to open 60 outlets across India by end of 2015-16. Isuzu has already established its dealer network in 18 locations across the country with outlets in Delhi, Noida, Gurgaon, Jaipur, Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Coimbatore, Madurai, Visakhapatnam, Tirupati, Cochin, Calicut, Ahmedabad, Rajkot, Ludhiana and Lucknow.
