We have seen it being tested on roads in camouflage. We have even seen multiple render images. Now it looks like the wait is almost over as the Skoda Slavia facelift is expected to launch in India on August 18. The Slavia has been one of the most successful models in Skoda India’s portfolio. It has also been among the top-selling sedans in the mid-size segment since its debut in 2021, after replacing the ageing Rapid. It has been loved for its clean design, enjoyable driving experience, spacious cabin and strong turbo petrol engines. This update is expected to make the sedan even more appealing with fresh styling, extra features and a new automatic gearbox.
Expected Design Updates
Spy images suggest the Slavia facelift could get a fresh look without changing its overall shape. Most of the updates are expected at the front and rear.

- New seat upholstery
- Front parking sensors
- Wireless phone charger
- Automatic climate control with rear AC vents
- Single pane sunroof
- Eight speaker sound system
- Six airbags
- Tyre Pressure Monitoring System
There is also a possibility that Skoda could introduce a rear seat massage function, which was recently added to the updated Kushaq.
New Automatic Gearbox Could Be The Biggest Change
The biggest mechanical update is likely to be under the bonnet.

The current 6 speed torque converter automatic paired with the 1.0 litre engine is expected to be replaced by a new 8 speed automatic. This gearbox recently made its debut on the Kushaq facelift and could offer smoother performance and better highway driving.
Expected price and rivals
A small price increase is likely with the facelift. The current Slavia is priced between Rs 10 lakh and Rs 18.19 lakh ex showroom. The updated model will continue to take on rivals such as the Volkswagen Virtus, Hyundai Verna and Honda City.
