Skoda Kushaq Racks Up 20,000 Bookings in Just 6-Months

Skoda India has had a wonderful year. Almost all the new arrivals from the brand have made quite a noise in the Indian market. From the Kodiaq to the Slavia, all have received praise from the entire automobile industry. In between these two cars sits the Skoda Kushaq; today’s star of the show. Kushaq has racked up 20,000 bookings in a matter of six months. The car was released in June 2021, and despite having to compete with some of the biggest names of the 5-seater SUV segment, the Kushaq proved its worth.

Expanded footprint

Skoda has expanded their sales and service centres across the country and that is one of the reasons for higher sales this year.

Another big reason behind this success is the premium feel and finish that the car is offering at a relatively low cost. The pricing of the Kushaq starts from ₹10.5 Lakhs and goes up to ₹17.6 Lakh. This is quite a good range and captures a wider spectrum of buyers.

A Quick Recap

In terms of design, the Skoda Kushaq offers a very sharp and edgy look all around. The traditional butterfly grille is now thicker and gets a piano black finish. The headlamps offer a contrasting look to the grille with their slim and edgy design.

The bumper is plastic clad and gets a silver scuff plate. The side profile is rather simple, with a single character line, that starts from the badge on the fender and runs to the rear of the car. We get to see wheel arches as well, with neatly complement the alloy wheels.

Around the back, the bumper is a bit larger than the front and makes it look slightly beefy. The tailgate is rather small in comparison to the width of the car. The taillights extend deep into the boot lid, and at the centre we find the ‘Skoda’ lettering. Overall the car offers a more edgy design than its rivals which gives it a slight edge in the looks department.
