Shell Advance and Fox Sports have come together to produce Freedom Riders Asia, an Advertising Funded Program which is a 6-part series on travel diary of celebrity biker Charley Boorman. Charley is the co-author of books like ‘Long way Round’ and ‘Long way Down’. He has undertaken several road trips across continents and has compiled his experiences into his books with fellow traveler and co-author Ewan MacGregor.
Freedom Riders Asia begins airing today at 4 pm on ESPN India. This time, Charley will be seen travelling on a bike through 6 south-east Asian countries- Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines, Indonesia and India. In all his journeys he is accompanied by a fellow celebrity biker from the country. Charley also undertakes different tasks which involve a bike thus gathering more knowledge and experience of the culture in the locality.
Shell, which is one of the producers of this six part series, has been one of the world leaders in motor oil research for nearly 100 years and has been a regular particpant in the world of motorsport.
